The famous gold mask was found by Heinrich Schliemann in 1876 in a magnificently equipped grave in Mycenae, he named it after the famous military leader of the Greeks: the Atriden Agamemnon; however, according to recent research, the Trojan War took place at a later date, and thus the life of Agamennon falls into this time. The Mycenaean gold mask is therefore much older. Replica as a magnet by C. Brandis

Magnet scorpion-human from Dschiroft

Game boards in animal forms and as mythical creatures are in the Jiroft (also Jiroft) culture very common, the rules are unfortunately not known. The game board here shows a "scorpion-man"; in another interpretation an insect can also be seen. The extraordinary finds from the burial ground of Jiroft in Iran testify to a highly developed independent culture. These artifacts, otherwise seen in the National Museum of Tehran in Iran, will be shown for the first time in an exhibition in western countries: Iran Early cultures between water and desert Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bonn from April 13 to August 20, 2017
